Jorge and Mariana

I am really behind on writing about the weddings I've coordinated recently.  By recently, I mean August.  I find myself reflecting and analyzing my life often, determining if I am keeping all of my balls juggled evenly and balanced.  I enjoy my career as a wedding coordinator, but I do desire to keep my faith and family first always.  So the season of fall, football and cross country has taken the top priority in life.  When I did have time to write, I chose not to because I just need those quiet times to rest and enjoy the silence.  Before I know it, the wild people that are my children invade the serenity, and I am thrown into homework, taxiing and cheering them on during their meets or games.  But today, I will write because my business has been thriving and I want to share with my fans the details of my latest successes in wedding planning.

In August, I coordinated the wedding of a couple who are both originally from Mexico and are currently in school at Texas A&M University.  It was unique since some of the guests spoke no English.  To accommodate them,  Jorge and Mariana had a script of the ceremony translated into Spanish for them to read and follow along.  They also brought in bright and festive colors for their decorations, flowers and bridesmaids dresses.  The setting was Rock Lake Ranch which beautifully accented the dynamic color scheme.  The amazing cake was baked and designed by Cakes by Blonde and the food was provided by Buppy's.  Jen Brazeal captured their special day with her amazing photography and an artist set up her canvas to paint a water color rendition of the ceremony.  Jammin' Joe kept the reception fun and lively and rentals were provided by Events to Remember.  All vendors are extremely professional which created a seamless and perfect wedding and reception.

John and Natasha

Natasha has to be the most fun loving and happy bride I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet her and be a part of her special day.  This beautiful May wedding took place at the Greenbranch and, once again, the weather was picture perfect even after having some rainy and cool weather beforehand.  The actual ceremony weather could not have been more gorgeous!

One interesting aspect of this wedding was that the bride chose New York based, Pulitzer Prize winning, photojournalism-style photographer, Kelley Guenther as her photographer.  Attending this wedding was her first time to ever step foot in Texas!  I'm so glad we got to show off our spectacular land and great weather for her and her assistant.

Another unique part of the wedding was that the guests were transported from the hotel on a commercial bus.  This was great for after the reception, but the bus arrived late for the ceremony, so we did not begin on time.

An unfortunate event occurred when one of the groomsman accidentally consumed almonds in the meal that caused him to have an allergic reaction which led to a short trip to the hospital.  The security guards handled that so well by calling 911 and requesting that the emergency personnel turn off the ambulance lights and sirens upon arrival.  Most of the guests and the bride and groom did not know this had happened at all and the festivities went on without interruption.  I'm sure that is quite a memory for that groomsman!  He was fine after a few hours, but having a guest be taken to the hospital during one of my weddings is a first for me!

Epicures catered a delicious, plated meal and they were very professional and formal, just as the bride and groom ordered.  Entertainment was provided by Rob with Livewire Productions and tables were beautifully covered with linens from Partytime Rentals.  The cake was a delicious creation by Ciana Neubauer and the bride and groom left their reception in a limousine from Aggieland Limousine.   Enjoy the pictures!

The BEST January Wedding- Sam and Sarah

How do words even begin to describe what a joy is was to be the coordinator for this wedding?  I have known the new Mrs. Best since she was about 13 years old, and it was extremely thrilling to be able to turn her most beautiful day into one she will never forget!  Sarah knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding: simple, vintage and IN A BARN!  The last request led me to a new favorite venue, The Moore Ranch, for these nuptials.  Sam and Sarah said "I do" under the antique (300-400 years old) oak trees on the ranch and became the first couple to get married in this location.  Sam and Sarah have amazing friends who were able to pitch in and create florals, decorations and music for her wedding.  Ryan Price, a new up and coming professional, was her photographer.  The weather truly could have not been more perfect.  It was a warm, clear, January Texas day.  I had a blast coordinating and enjoying time with friends.  The pictures speak a thousand words a piece, and I have many to share.  Enjoy!!

A time for worship.

A time for prayer.

Heath and Jessica

There are some couples that really capture my heart, and Heath and Jessica definitely fall into the "Some of My favorites" column in my book.  Jessica is extremely kind and thoughtful, and Heath is finny and doesn't take life too seriously; except when it comes to Jessica.

Their ceremony took place in early November at Rock Lake Ranch.  The weather threatened to rain all afternoon, but cleared up just in time for an absolutely beautiful ceremony.  The only real glitch: the sweet boy who offered to carry the punch bowl dropped it and it shattered all over the pavement of the Rock Lake Patio.  The bride's mom sent someone to buy the supplies to replace the tropical blue Hawaiian Punch based drink, and this person could only find green punch to replace it and got a speeding ticket for his effort.  But, to most of the guests, this was unnoticed and definitely a detail that is unimportant in the grand scheme of things, right?  I also didn't get any pictures of the ceremony because I  needed to set up the appetizer table (cheese, crackers, etc) because the friend who was in charge of that did not realize that she was supposed to come early for set up.  That is fine, because it is my job to fill in the holes and take care of those details that sometimes get lost in the big picture!

The delicious food was catered by Mallett Brothers BBQ, Travis with Texas DJ was the Master of Ceremonies, the amazing cupcakes were provided by Cakes by Blonde and Shannon Buck Photography captured the special memories "on film".  I had a delightful time getting to know these families and wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Lowery only God's very best for many years to come!!!  Thank you for blessing me with the privilege to coordinate your very special day!  It was wonderful!
Enjoy my pictures!!  I had fun taking them!
