I attended a wedding this weekend of a girl I've known since she was about 13. The bride was beautiful and the day was fabulous! I was a guest, so I decided to bring my camera and have some fun. Here are some of my favorite shots.

We were so thrilled with the announcement that Sadie and John were getting married. After the initial excitement, the realization that I would have to plan a long distance wedding began to set in. You see, Sadie and John were students at Texas A&M, but we live about 1800 miles away in Pennsylvania. Sadie was a very busy Senior and I knew that I would be in need of experienced help closer to College Station. After attending the Bridal Show, Sadie contacted and interviewed several wedding coordinators that could help me with this task. She hit it off from the beginning with Erin and knew that she would be the one to help us plan the perfect wedding.
Because of the distance, I was only able to come to College Station several times during the year; and it was always at a busy time, or on a busy weekend at the campus. Erin worked so wonderfully around our limited schedules and was able to line up meetings for us with all of the vendors that we would need. Her recommendations and hints were very helpful to us in making our final decisions on which vendors to hire. We were not disappointed in any of them. Erin worked easily with each of them along the way and on the day of the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, it was unusually hot – even for Texas. Erin was there to help out with cold bottles of water to keep everyone comfortable during the outdoor pictures before the wedding. She even delivered plates of sandwiches that I had ordered to tide over the wedding party until the reception. I did not have to worry about anything at the wedding. Erin had told me that I would not need my watch and she was right. She made sure everything went on schedule without a hitch. The wedding of our only daughter was emotional enough as it was, I can’t imagine what it would have been like if I had the added stress of doing everything ourselves. I’m so thankful that Erin was there and that we were able to enjoy and take in every moment of Sadie and John’s wedding.
The reception was exactly was we had thought it would be. Sadie wanted the reception to be fun and memorable. Once again, Erin coordinated the evening with the other vendors and I did not have to worry about a thing. She was there to help Sadie and John get all of their “Bride and Groom” tasks completed, but also to help them enjoy all of the fun of the evening. I couldn’t believe how fast the evening seemed to go. Time flies when you’re having fun!
I’ve told several people after the wedding that I was glad we only had one daughter. But truthfully, if we had another wedding to plan in the future, I would call upon Erin in a heartbeat to help me out again. She made the whole year+ process so enjoyable for us and so stress-free. Thanks Erin, for being such a big part of the precious time for all of us.

We tried our best to have everything planned out and to be ready for everything, but low and behold, we weren't. However, you were there to take care of anything and everything that we had not accounted for. At the wedding, I think we were all blind-sided by the church-provided wedding coordinator. What a nightmare! But we thank you for doing everything that you were "allowed" to do to make that process go as smooth as it could have considering the circumstances. We were all stressed, but you were there to ease our stress. Thank you for that. As for the reception, the greeting we received from the host was as about as cold as the one you received. "We know of this wedding that Erin speaks of. The church provided wedding coordinator was a little pushy and set-in-her ways. She wanted things done her way, as if it were her wedding. However, with Erin's patience and assistance, we were able to make it through it. Erin made sure we had things OUR way. And as for the reception host, we were greeted with "It's been so nice working with y'all, now hurry up and get in here you are late and these people are waiting on you!!" I just wanted to take a moment to let you know what a true joy (and RELIEF!) it was to have you serve as a 'day of' event planner at our wedding on August 22, 2009!! I truly don't know what I would've done without you! It was awesome just relaxing, knowing that you were there to pin flowers, organze the bridal party, help decorate the Reception hall @ the Hilton, direct our guests arriving at the reception, etc., and make sure all the details were in place! I actually got to wake up and focus on getting my hair & makeup done, and I got to ENJOY friends and family rather than continuing to sweat the small stuff!

You truly have a gift for finding a balance between being upfront & clear with everyone, but being relaxed and graceful -- I saw this everytime you were directing people in the Bridal Party or helping us stay on schedule @ our Reception. I will look back on my Wedding Day with fond memories of you and a lot of thankfulness in my heart. Thank-you for your service to us on the most important day of our lives! Jason and I would like to thank you again for all of your help with planning and organizing the wedding. Since we are both Ph.D. students, it can sometimes seem like there are not enough hours in the day (and sleeping is sometimes a luxury instead of a necessity). So, it was so amazing that you were able to handle all of the phone calls and digging around for information and prices, and setting up many of our meetings...it was more helpful than you know! Plus, it was really great to be able to draw on your experience of what people have done in the past, particularly what has worked and what hasn't, in order to help make our day even more wonderful. Although I was a bit stressed the morning of the wedding, I knew that everything was going to come out beautifully, because you were so organized in all of our previous meetings! And, lo and behold, the wedding was even more beautiful than I could have imagined it to be. It was so awesome that you were able to recruit help and set up the wedding decorations while me, my mother, and my bridesmaids were getting hair and make-up done! And, at the end of the night, it was EVEN MORE amazing that you all took down the decorations and cleaned everything up. It was like the wedding magically unfolded around us, and then disappeared around us...without me and Jason having to worry about doing anything! Plus, we got all of our deposit back from 7f (thank you thank you thank you), so we can use that money to purchase wedding pictures!

We got so many compliments from our friends and family about the wedding (people were still talking about it at Christmas!), and about how amazing our coordinator was. Some of our friends that are getting married in April were a disappointed that you live so far from where they are getting married because they wanted you to help them with their wedding! Overall, it was a wonderful and special day, and you and all of your helpers (but especially you) made it that way. So, thank you again!!

At my future mother-in-law's urging, we sought help for wedding day coordination. Immediately after meeting with Erin, I was convinced she would be a great asset to us. She made excellent recommendations for an officiant when we were at a loss for who to turn to. Even if you think you've got the planning under control, it helps to have a pro like Erin by your side to make sure no detail is overlooked. She did a fabulous job on our wedding day. From running the rehearsal in the morning, to "saving the day" by saving our cake, she maintained her poised, calm, and professional manner. I don't know how we would have handled the melting cake if she hadn't been there! If that isn't reason enough to have a planner, what is? Our perfect day was thanks to her. (Or as one guest put it, "You got hitched without a hitch.") Joseph and I highly recommend Erin for her expertise, practical nature, and also because she's such a pleasant person to work with! Jeff & I knew that we wanted a simple wedding that was casually elegant. My mom suggested that I hire a wedding planner to help ease the load of planning a wedding since I am a graduate student who works part-time. I met with Erin and after telling her what we desired she explained how she could help. What a relief! She helped us choose vendors and get things done on time. What proved most helpful was having her at the rehearsal, ceremony and reception to handle the details and to be the “answer woman”. After spending months planning my own wedding, I realized that I had been obsessing about everything from the cake to the flowers to the guest list, but had completely neglected the actual ceremony. I had obviously never been married before, and I had only attended a few weddings in my life, so I was clueless about what would actually take place during the ceremony. That's where Erin came in. I had 3 weeks to plan a wedding after a sudden phone call from my son serving in Iraq saying he would be home on leave in April and wanted to get married. Wanting it to be a memorable occasion, my husband and I tried to do it all alone, from the locations to flowers to food. My plans started to unravel about 3 days before the ceremony when someone asked me a question about music. Humbly, I called Erin and she managed to help us have a truly smooth ceremony thru reception. I genuinely appreciate her expertise in this field.

I married my lifelong best friend, Rudy, 10 months ago in the freezing sleet out on a hill of bluebonnets. We decided we wanted to have a small family-only wedding and have a ceremony and reception a few months later with all of our friends.

Erin did a wonderful job coordinating everything at the reception. I didn't even have to think about where everyone would stand or even what to say -- Erin took care of all that!

In addition to Erin's help, her husband, Kevin, did the sound for us. I wanted a certain song played for our first dance, but didn't know which cd it was on or where to find it. He happened to pick the exact song I wanted and it turned out perfectly. I couldn't have asked for it to be better.

Erin is also the world's calmest person on earth, which is perfect for a bride because brides are the most stressed people on earth! Erin makes a wonderful wedding planner because she is friendly and energetic and works well with people. Both my family and my husband's have divorces, which can make a special day turn into a tense one very fast. On our busy and stressful day, Erin was happy and pleasant and peaceful. You can tell that wedding planning isn't just a job for her. It is a passion and a joy!

Getting married can be an incredibly exciting time but can also be stressful because there are hundreds of things that need to be coordinated in order to have the wedding that you’ve dreamed of. Thankfully, the Lord has blessed us with wonderful people to help during this time, such as Erin Joyner.
We have known Erin for almost 12 years and she has many wonderful gifts including being very smart, organized, and detail oriented. Most importantly, she loves the Lord and wants to see Him glorified during this special time for you both. We were incredibly blessed to have Erin help us coordinate our wedding almost 8 years ago and she did a wonderful job and we know she will do the same for you!
Every wedding celebration is unique and as a result, can have its own challenges and ours was no different. We had family spread out across the country and to make it easier on all of them travel wise, we had our wedding the same weekend Erica graduated. We had quite a lot going on with the rehearsal dinner Thursday night, graduation Friday night, and then the wedding on Saturday. We both also come from families that have gone through a divorce before so we had several step parents that attended and it was a challenge to honor our parents in a way that wouldn’t make our step parents feel left out. Erin did a wonderful job in helping us to overcome these challenges and keep everything on track.
I remember the rehearsal being a particularly stressful time because many of our family members were traveling that day and some arrived late. It was also the first time that many of our family members had seen each other in years and they seemed more interested in catching up on old times than walking through the ceremony. Erin knew that we had a limited amount of time because we had a set time to arrive at the restaurant for dinner. She firmly, yet lovingly, corralled the group and we were able to accomplish everything we needed to (and have fun in the process!) and we arrived just in time for dinner. We appreciated her taking the lead on this because we were both in an awkward situation with our families and Erin handled it like a pro!
The wedding day was no different, again she kept everyone on track and everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when and it worked out beautifully! She even took care of some of the little details that we forgot or didn’t even think about and we are so grateful to her for that.
Erin has been such a blessing to us and we are so thankful that she helped us coordinate our wedding. We would recommend her to anyone because she is so organized and has such a keen attention to detail! She took away a lot of the stress and pressure, allowing us to enjoy our wedding, and I know that she will do the same for you. We hope you enjoy your wedding!

When planning the actual ceremony, Erin thought of all the details that would have left me panicked had she not been my wedding coordinator. She has practical tips and lots of ideas.

I highly recommend Erin Joyner as a Wedding Coordinator/Wedding Planner. She helped me to be organized and prepared. Most of all she helped lessen the stress of wedding planning. She would listen to what we wanted, and helped us to achieve it.

She helped me to be organized by helping me prioritize the activities that I had to take care of, which helped the process to be less overwhelming. For example, we would meet, and review our progress and she would say “ok, this week you really need to rent a tent and book a photographer.”

She helped me to delegate, by suggesting that I recruit different crews of people for various activities. We had a relatively simple wedding, and the food at the reception was not catered, so I had a friend in charge of the food. I also had a clean-up crew and a flower crew, which were made up of my friends, on a volunteer basis.

She also helped us by keeping us and our bridal party on task. She helped us to move from one part of the wedding day to another, so that we could leave in time to make our flight. She told our bridal party when they needed to be there for pictures, etc. She also announced to everyone at the reception, that if there was a problem on the wedding day, my groom and I were not to be bothered; they were to notify her instead.

I don’t think I would have enjoyed my wedding day as much if Erin hadn’t helped me. I could relax knowing she was taking care of all the details. Once again, I highly recommend Erin Joyner as your wedding planner. Besides all of the help that she provides, she’s just fun to be around.

“What a relief to have someone by my side through the amazingly wild ride of wedding planning. Erin helped consolidate my ideas and dreams and turn them into reality. Erin used her skills in organization and with much patience directed me to where I needed to go and who I needed to contact. Wedding planning can be overwhelming and hard to keep track of amidst other transitions. Erin helped set my dates and keep track of when things needed to get done. The end product was well worth all of our time spent together. The most wonderful thing about having someone to plan your wedding with is having someone that has listened to all your dreams, all your ideas, and your personal preferences and then trusting that person to make it happen on the actual day of the wedding. I did not have to concern myself with any personal last minute details in regard to the wedding day because Erin was there to guide and clue everyone (including family) in on what was about to happen. Erin was the director and leader of all the things we had orchestrated together in the previous months. Having someone facilitate on the actual wedding day is a must! The bride is much too occupied with the other million excitements that the wedding day contains to concern herself with where the cake should be placed, what goes where, and who does what….
It is a wonderful relief to have a coordinator help plan with beforehand, to rely on during the wedding rehearsal, and to completely depend on during your actual wedding.
